A reverse flow BBQ smoker is a type of smoker designed to provide even heat distribution and smoke circulation throughout the cooking chamber. Unlike traditional offset smokers where the smoke and heat travel directly from the firebox to the chimney, in a reverse flow smoker, the smoke and heat flow beneath a baffle before rising back through the cooking chamber and exiting through the chimney located on the same side as the firebox. This design helps to maintain consistent temperatures and ensures that the food is evenly smoked, resulting in tender and flavorful barbecue.
