How to Understand and Use Our DIY Files After Purchase

Once you make a purchase, you’ll receive the following Technical Files:

  • Dimensions in both Inches and Millimeters.
  • PDF well-dimensioned files of individual components.
  • PDF Sub-assemblies files, clearly defined and accurate.
  • Weld specifications and instructions for DIY assembly.
  • DXF/DWG files for all sheet metal parts, ideal for laser/plasma cutting and bending.
  • Detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for all assemblies, quantities, and material specifications.
  • BOM list of commercial components like fasteners, with respective costs.

How to Organize and Use Your Files

  1. Download Folder Overview

After purchasing, you will receive two folders: PDF and DXF.

    • The PDF folder contains printable documents for individual parts, subassemblies, and full assemblies.
    • The DXF folder contains files for laser cutting. Important Note: The dashed lines in the DXF files represent the bending lines and should be hidden before laser cutting to avoid unnecessary cuts.
  2. Organize Your Files

Follow these steps to organize your files:

    • First, list all the file names in the DXF folder.
    • Then, sort the PDF files into the following categories:
      • Individual Components
      • Subassemblies
      • Full Assembly
    • Review the Bill of Materials (BOM) table, which can be found in the bottom right corner of the technical sheet for each subassembly.
    • Tip: Write down the quantity of each part based on how many times they appear across the subassembly files. This will give you the total quantity of each component needed for the build.

Additional Information for a Smooth Build

  • Software for DXF Files: We recommend using AutoCAD, FreeCAD, or similar CAD programs to view or edit DXF files.
  • Material Selection: Refer to the BOM for material specifications and ensure you’re using the correct sheet metal thickness.

    • Custom material choices (e.g., stainless steel vs. mild steel)
    • Additional features (extra shelves, custom doors, wheels, etc.)
    • Any specific design preferences (vertical vs. horizontal, firebox placement, etc.)
    • Specialized functionalities (e.g., insulation, dual chambers, digital temperature controls)
The more detailed your explanation, the better we can tailor the design to meet your expectations.
  3. Review and Quote: Once we receive your request, we will review the details and provide you with a custom quote, which will include pricing for any design modifications and additional materials if required.
